After all my research I must say, that as a future philologist, I admire Tolkien much more than before. I always admired him for his great novels despite the fact that he isn’t one of my favourite writers, but after this work I see him with a different point of view.

I must say that I was well informed about his works because I read many books of him and I knew that his writings have inspired many others works of fantasy and have had a lasting effect on the entire field, but I didn’t knew what was his inspirations and thanks to this research I finally found out.

I discovered that he was devoted to the philology and he was always learning a new language and no satisfied with that, he invented new languages for his characters in his books.

Reading about him I also found out that his works, especially The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, are inspired in his life. The World War II, which he participated in, was a great source for his book “The Lord of the Rings”.

In this paper my goal, was to find out more about his three works, which I think I’ve succeeded. I must say that I believe I found even more that I needed and wanted so I’m very pleased with this.

To conclude, I have to say that all this new information has made me see this writer with new eyes and I’m sure that, if I read his books again, I will find new things and I will find it much more interesting.

I hope you enjoyed my work as much as I did.
